My musical journey began as a teenager in the Midwest, learning the bass to impress a classmate (she also played bass so we couldn't be in a band, whoops). She introduced me to Dead Kennedys and Smashing Pumpkins. Oasis became my favorite band, and I went from there. In my 20s and 30s I played in New York bands The Memories and Tolani with some incredible musicians. My journey as a solo artist ostensibly began during covid, stuck at home with a MIDI keyboard and an iMac. Twerp is me now, all these years later, feeling creatively free and finally myself.
